When did you start at Valor?
I started at Valor in August of 2022.
What made Valor Mechanical the right career move for you?
I previously worked at the same company as the Service Operations Manager, Joe West, and always heard great things about him. Valor allows me to also provide the best solutions based on what my customer truly needs, rather than by the dollar amount the company would prefer to make.
What are your hobbies/interests outside of work?
I have a lot of different hobbies that include gardening (I won the tallest sunflower plot in 2021) along with a unique hobby that requires a lot of attention to detail: painting miniatures for board games. This hobby has also gained me the Golden Demon Award which was awarded for the highest level of painting skills. In the winter you can find me downhill skiing with my wife and friends.
Do you own any pets?
My wife and I have five cats that we have both adopted and inherited throughout the years – Lana, Chloe, Rascal, Gus, and Pico. Not only am I comfortable with vents, but one day I was putting a grill together on the deck and I found Chloe sticking her head out of our bathroom ventilation watching for squirrels.
Favorite place that you have traveled to and why?
I have lived and traveled to a lot of different places due to my military experience so it is hard to pick the ‘favorite’ place. Breckenridge, Colorado had the most incredible skiing. However, Germany and Romania have the best beaches and the people were very nice.
Did you play any sports in High School or College?
I was in Cross Country in high school and I was also in a sport most people don’t think of – Marching Band. Marching Band is a sport as I did receive a letter for being in it, it combines endurance and strength all while playing music!
Your go-to restaurant when you don’t want to cook at home and why?
Pho Chao because it is good comfort food – no matter where I’ve been and lived, I’ve been able to find a pho restaurant. The food at Pho Chao is authentic and fresh.
