Job description:
- Full-time | M-F | 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. | No Experience Necessary
- Works independently, but also follows specific guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at the client’s location.
- Provides preventative maintenance and repairs for HVAC systems.
- Diagnoses and repairs electrical, mechanical, and control components of different systems.
- Inspects units for effectiveness and safety.
- Installs new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
- Performs consultations with clients.
- Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, and modifications as needed or requested by clients.
Qualifications (applicants MUST meet all criteria):
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- A moral and ethical mindset in line with the values of Valor Mechanical.
- A drive to grow their career and skillset in the HVAC industry.
- Hand tools necessary to complete work.
- Ability to handle hazardous materials with proper safety equipment, and have knowledge of OSHA and other employee safety regulations.
- Exceptional people skills and ability to self-motivate/multi-task.
- Computer skills including the ability to operate a phone, tablet/workbook, and computer (use of Microsoft Excel, time tracking programs, etc).
- Aptitude to complete timely and accurate daily work reports (notes, timecards, in-field billings).
- Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants is not required, but a plus.

- Diagnosing and repairing of commercial RTU’s (Roof-Top Units), MAU’s (Make Up Air Units), Exhaust Fans, Chillers, Furnaces, A/Cs, and Mini Split Units.
- Collaborates with the leadership team to ensure a positive working environment for the commercial department.
- Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at the clients’ location.
- Provides preventative maintenance and repairs for commercial HVAC systems.
- Repairs and maintains refrigeration and electrical systems.
- Diagnoses and repairs electrical, mechanical, and control components of different systems.
- Performs sales consultations with clients as the need arises.
Qualifications (applicants MUST meet all criteria):
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- A moral and ethical mindset in line with the values of Valor Mechanical.
- Possess an eagerness to continue to learn best technical practices and advance in the HVAC industry while teaching these practices to lesser experienced technicians.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure team success between leadership and field technicians.
- Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants.
- Owns the hand tools necessary to complete work.
- Ability to handle hazardous materials with proper safety equipment, and have knowledge of OSHA and other employee safety regulations.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing commercial RTU’s (Roof-Top Units), MAU’s (Make Up Air Units), Exhaust Fans, Chillers, Furnaces, A/Cs, and Mini Split Units.
- Knowledge of commercial and residential services in the HVAC industry.
- Experience in the areas of chillers, refrigeration, RTUs, MAUs, and controls.
- Exceptional people skills and ability to self-motivate/multi-task.
- Computer skills including the ability to operate a phone, tablet/workbook, and computer (use of Microsoft Excel, time tracking programs, etc).
- Aptitude to complete timely and accurate daily work reports (notes, timecards, in-field billings).
- Possession of a Boiler’s License is a plus.
